a whirl wind!

I can't believe it! My baby is almost a year old. I haven't written in a looong time. There has been so many things that have happened. We are in the middle of overhauling our home. So things have been moving fast. Our little Taylor Bug has five teeth! She is crawling all over the place and has discovered our stairs. I just can't believe how much she has grown in the last month alone. She is wearing 18 month clothing and is in the 90th percentile for her height. This has been a great year so far and I can't wait for my little girl to turn the big 1.

Taylor has a tooth

Taylor has a tooth, it popped out on november 8th! First Tooth! She was so somber that day, really tired. We were painting that day, my aunt and two cousins were there, with my father in law, we looked and there is was just under the surface. Then, later that night, she was crying and it broke though. My baby is growing up! Soon she will be crawling, she can now scoot backwards. She sometimes gets up on her hands and knees. She is so close!

Whew!

Well it has been two months since my last post. A lot has happened. We are now eating solid food! And when I say "we" I mean Taylor. We started out with Rice cereal for a few weeks and now we have tried Carrots and Bananas. Here is a link to a video of her eating bananas.

She has been growing so fast, I can't believe how different she looks, She has really developed her own character.

Zombie

We recently went to Iowa to visit my parents because my siblings and dad have never met baby Taylor. We had a lot of fun and Taylor was very laid back the whole time. It was fun to take her on the plan ( she did VERY well) , she slept a lot of the time. Ever since we came back she has not slept in a consistent amount of time. At night she has been Waking up on average about every half hour. I am wondering if she is teething, she has her hands in her mouth all day. She gnaws on her Binky. Needless to say we have had no sleep for over a week. It is strictly survival mode at the moment. :)

Lord, Thank you for my little baby. I want to pray over her that she gets rest tonight and You soothe her achy gums. I pray a restfulness will fall over our house and revive our tired minds and bodies, In your name. I love and appreciate you Lord, Amen.

Kick

The baby has been using her feet a lot lately. I took her shopping with me yesterday, and while we were in the dressing room, I look over at the baby and she is kicking like crazy. Earlier I was thinking, "What is that swishing noise?" Of course it was the baby and she has learned a new thing about herself. You can tell that she was really concentrating on what she was doing because she pushes her lips out. Every once and a while she would smile. She continued kicking while I was shopping at the next store. Then I noticed that people are staring at us. I had the sudden urge to take her out and hold her up so every one could see the new accomplishment, But I didn't, we just enjoyed the new development private between Mother and Daughter.

Wonders of the world.

It seems that when you think about having children, one would think that they would be teaching their child or baby about the world, and how it works. As I watch Taylor learn about her surroundings I am learning about the world through her. Ordinary things I don't think twice about are extraordinary to her. She's never seen regular things like, a spoon. Its shiny and the shape is curious. She stares at it and she is intrigued by it. I am thinking, its a spoon, that's all. It makes me look at things in her perspective. One of the great wonders of the world, the spoon.

HI

The other day I was walking past the baby and I thought I heard her say "hi". I knew that she doesn't talk so it kinda caught me off guard. She has been using her voice a lot. Its nice to have that interaction with her. Even though she can't say actual words, It feels like we have conversations. One day :)
